Just do it! -Nike

Dearest Hashnoders, we are now halfway through the Side Hustle Bootcamp💃. We're sure you could guess what our task this week was all about from the cover image. Yes, you guessed right, it was all about Fifa World Cup!! Our Team Lead particularly loved this project because he is a sucker for football😂He found the data set in less than a day. Got to say, for some of us who don't really know much about football, it was a bit of the out-of-the-comfort-zone kind of project for us, but as usual, we got through and we'll tell you all about it.

A Beautiful Beginning

As we mentioned earlier, with the help of our Team Lead Nurudeen Babalola we found the data set before the end of the day the task was given. We were all elated, to think we didn't have to hunt for data for 3 days like we did in the past weeks. Then after, we struggled a bit because we were dealing with a large data set and the task required us to answer a number of questions through our visuals. Eventually, we did all the necessary merging and cleaning in Excel before we loaded it to Power Bi.

Mid-way Crisis

Although the week started off great, we had a few challenges as we progressed. The first one was we were making a lot of mistakes and getting confused when working in Excel. We struggled to determine the best functions to get certain results and columns.

Secondly, we were all getting tired. It's exciting we are halfway through but there comes a time where you can begin to physically feel the implications of all you've been doing. As a result, 2 of our members fell sick and we all felt the impact.

These challenges in particular were really tough on all of us cause at some point we'd feel we were getting somewhere, only to discover we weren't. That's when this guy called Team Spirit came to join us. Team Spirit told us a number of things but the most important was, even when you don't feel like, just do it and we listened.

The project

We were told to work on Football World Cup Analysis using data from 1930 till present. Scrap, Clean and Visualize with Power BI. Our dashboard was required to show some certain metrics. This was the final result after going through all the necessary processes.
